"I was a junk food junkie. I would go to the store and browse the packaged foods and frozen TV dinner aisles. My brother was a lot worse than me. One day in July 2005, my dad pased through town and saw me changing my shirt. He noticed my gut and asked me if I had seen my brother lately. He then told me that Chris was lighter than me now, lost a ton of weight. I could not believe it. Chris? His nickname as a kid was the "garbage disposal" because he always ate everything and finished off me and Andy's plates at dinner when we were kids. (Yes back in the 80's when you actually had a family dinner)
But now life moves a lot faster, dinner has become a drive through for most. I got caught up in the quick and easy. For about 10 years, my diet has been very poor. Last year (2004) I finally watched Supersize Me , a documetary about fast food and the fast food generation. I finally broke the fast food trend, but something else needed to change. That was exactly 6 months before the time when my dad told me about Chris' radical transformation. I called him and he told me all about it. It took me 4 months to finally buy the product and do the program.
I was very skeptical about paying over $100 for something to be shipped to me, telling me i had to go 5 days with no food. For $100, I'd rather spend it ON food, not fasting! I received the colon cleansing kit from Blessed Herbs , but still waited a few days before i started. I was terrified of the thought of not eating but excited about Chris' testimonials. Finally on October 12, 2005 I started the pre-cleanse. The actual fast was from October 15-19, 2005. Since I spent the money on it, I decided to document everything. On this website is an online testimonial of what actually happens to someone who goes through this. I am not a health nut, just an average Joe (No offense, dad) going through life like everyone else. This experience changed everything........"

Wow, it's been almost a year since my cleanse! I got pretty sick right afterwards because I drank a diet pepsi and felt the poison seep into my system. I did a really good job with red meats and ice cream, the cravings are still gone, only a few times have I just said to myself, "God I want a cheeseburger!" After tons of trying to get the right breakfast, I finally found a cereal from Trader Joe's and goat milk. I will do my best to continue to eat that every single morning from now on.
Now, on the eve of my second cleanse, I reflect on some mistakes I made last time. I drank spring water the entire time, not knowing that distilled water was the best option, plus it was chilled water. This time all room temperature water! I also took a few advil, TUMS, ginseng, and 3 or 4 mens multivitamins. This time NONE of that!!!!! Last time I had to work at a pizza sports bar and forgot my water a few times, thus drinking water from a fountain drink spicket! This time I have set aside the next five days off, nobody is coming over, no obligations except housesitting, and nothing but pure distilled water.
I was walking to my car and driving home after getting all my supplies at the health food store in advance for $50. Planning a 5 day retreat from not only food, but commercialism, I compounded on a thought I voiced to my mom yesterday. I said, "If everyone in America over 30 did the cleanse at the same time, the sewers would completely clog and we would have a serious problem." . I realized that if everyone in America over 30 did the cleanse at the same time, the entire economy would collapse. Think about it. It's kinda scary to think how fragile our economy is, and to think that the ones in advertising are responsible for our future by selling us shit that we do not need. If we ate everything we saw a commercial for, well, we'd die of a ruptured stomach!
